ACOUSTIC JAZZ TRIO
The Acoustic Jazz Trio proposes a jazz repertoire
that goes from the standards of the american
tradition to the authors of the jazz music
tradition such as Monk, Davis, Ellington, Shorter and
Bill Evans in particular, with original tunes as well,
focusing the attention on the original interpretation
and on a deep study of the interaction among the members
of the trio. This band is regularly performing at the
Contrappunto Jazz Club in Perugia and in several jazz clubs
in Italy and they just recorded their first CD "Intro" in
Teramo at the "Musicomania Editoriale". The band is now
attending the course of high qualification for trios given
by Stefano Battaglia, Paolino Dalla Porta and Fabrizio Sferra.
In May 2002 the Acoustic Jazz Trio won the 3° competition
"Genova Jazz" and it just begun working on the next CD release
that will be published on spring 2003. In July of the same year
the group obtained the Special Mention at "Barga Jazz 2002".
It has been partecipating even to some jazz festvals such as
"Toscana Jazz 2002" and the "15° Traditional Jazz Festival"
of Ligurian Riviera. Persuaded that the trio piano-doublebass-
drums is one of the musical formations in which the individual
expression and the ensemble could reach the highest artistic level
Alessandro Giachero, Luca Necciari and Massimo Cantini are focusing
their work on the research of a personal language, never forgetting
the tradition, but with the consciousness of a research for
the maximum development of the Trio's potentialities
