
ALESSANDRO GIACHERO
born in Alessandria in 1971, he begun studying
piano at age of 8. He then graduated
at the Conservatory of Alessandria. A year after
he won the "Ghislieri" prize as best Diploma in
piano. In 1999 he attended the summer clinics
for professional jazz musicians in Siena. In 2000
he received the Graduate Diploma in Music after three
years of courses at the Leeds College Of Music in England,
obtaining a Prize Award for Eletronique Keyboard.
Nowadays he is improving his studies supervisored by
Sefano Battaglia, attending the winter courses of high
qualification for trio at Siena Jazz, with the
Stefano Battaglia Trio, with Paolina Dalla Porta
and Fabrizio Sferra. Since 2001 he is teaching piano
at Siena Jazz where he collaborates as well for the singing
and improvisations courses given by Fabrizia Barresi.
He is teaching piano at the Scienza e Arte Music School in Perugia,
where he moved, and he is regularly performing at the
Contrappunto Jazz Club. In may 2002 he won the 3° competition
"Genova Jazz" with his trio with Luca Necciari on bass and
Massimo Cantini on drums. In July 2002, with the same band,
he obtained the special mention in the competition "Barga Jazz 2002".
In November 2002 He won the international competition "Incroci
Sonori" in Moncalieri (Torino). He has collaborated for the release
of the latest Roberto Bettelli's CD "Guitar Experience", with
Massimo Manzi and Massimo Moriconi. He has been playing
with Nico Gori, Massimo Manzi, Massimo Moriconi, Chiara Riondino.
He is regularly playing in trio with Luca Necciari and Massimo
Cantini. He is playing in the Chiara Riondino Sextet for the
project "Canti Randagi", based on the Fabrizio De Andrč's
tunes. He is even working for the release of two CDs,
one for the Philology Records and the other one for the
label of the Carlo Felice Theatre in Genova
